Image Resizer
Resize images to any width and height.
About the Image Resizer
Profile pictures, thumbnails and website banners all need specific sizes. This image resizer lets you set the exact width and height in pixels and download the resized picture, without uploading the file anywhere.
How to use the Image Resizer
- Click Choose an image and select a picture.
- The current width and height appear in the boxes.
- Type a new width or height. The other side updates to keep the same proportions.
- Click Resize and download to save the result.
Good to know
- To stretch an image to an exact shape, change both numbers after the first one updates. This can distort the picture.
- Making a small image much larger will make it look soft. Resize down for the best quality.
- The resized file is saved as a PNG. Use the Image Compressor afterwards if you need a smaller file size.
Frequently asked questions
What does aspect ratio mean?
It is the relationship between width and height. Keeping it stops the picture looking squashed or stretched.
What size should I use for a website image?
Use a width close to the space it fills on the page. For many layouts 1200 pixels wide is enough for a large image.
Is my image private?
Yes. Resizing happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
